A Blood
Donation Camp and Free Eye Test were held on 23
August 2026 at Our Lady of Lourdes Church,
Magundi, in collaboration with Holy Cross
Hospital, Chikmagalur.
The programme received an encouraging response
from the people of Magundi. People from
different religions and communities participated
enthusiastically, without any distinction of
caste or religion, and made good use of the
services provided.
A total of 33 units of blood were collected
during the camp. The blood donation drive
highlighted the importance of voluntary blood
donation and its role in saving precious lives.
Fr. Adarsh addressed the gathering and helped
the participants understand the value and
importance of donating blood.
Alongside the blood donation camp, a free eye
test was conducted, benefiting 86 people. The
programme provided an opportunity for people to
check their eye health and receive appropriate
guidance.
The event was a meaningful example of community
service, unity, and concern for the well-being
of others. The wholehearted participation of the
people of Magundi and the support of Holy Cross
Hospital contributed greatly to the success of
the programme.
