On the occasion of Labor Day, a small yet
meaningful gathering was held on May 15, 2025,
at the Kanati Estate, managed by the Montfort
Fathers. Approximately 15 individuals, including
children, participated in this event.
The focus of the gathering was to engage in a
discussion on the wise use of daily wages for
the betterment of their families and the future
of their children. Particular emphasis was
placed on the importance of education as a vital
means for long-term progress and empowerment.
The laborers who attended listened attentively
and reflected deeply on the ideas shared. It was
heartening to see their genuine interest and
their desire to take steps towards improving
their lives and investing in the education of
their children.
I would like to extend my sincere gratitude to
Rev. Fr. Jnyanaprakash, the Montfort priest and
the in-charge of the estate, for his warm
invitation and wholehearted support in
organizing this event. His encouragement was
instrumental, and he generously arranged
refreshments for all who attended.
The gathering commenced at 5:00 p.m. and
concluded by 5:30 p.m., lasting approximately
half an hour. It was indeed a fruitful and
inspiring session.
